Dear Eduardo (Sept. 03, 2009)
I apologize for not getting this out sooner to you. I just actually got home from vacation. I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks once again to the Escualo team. I owe a special thanks to the ever friendly Carmina Capt. George Palos and deckhand Juan Ernesto aboard "Lolita" Their dedicated service to the fleet should be recognized.
On my first day of fishing last week aboard Lolita we came away empty handed. In fact no one in the marina seemed to do well that day, any passionate fisherman like myself knows that this can, and will happen. The fish were simply not biting that day. The next day, just like the day before, we left the docks promptly at 6:15am. We were again the first ones to leave the harbor. Both George and Juan Ernesto just like any other time that I have fished with them were eager, and determined to come back that day with flags flying. Around 8:30am we hooked into our first fish. It was a nice Sailfish that was later released. The rest of the day we landed two Dorado, 10 Yellowfin Tunas, and a Blue Marlin 350 pounds (9 foot) that was also successfully released. I owe a special thanks to George & Juan for their hard work both days. Their pleasant and more often than not hilarious personalities, would make anyone's day of fishing with them memorable.
I can not express my appreciation enough for all of you at Escualo Fleet. You have always gone above and beyond what I would expect from an established fishing fleet. I will see you all next year.
Sincerely.

We fished on the 34 foot Betsy Monday August 10 2009
My son and son-in-law caught their first Sailfish. My granddaughter and daughter also hooked-up their first Sailfish which I brought to the boat for release.
We released our Marlin but ordered a replica mount, the trip was anticipated for most of the year and greatly exceeded my expectations.
The "Betsy" crew is unbelievable Captain Ricardo and his Brother Gaby they work together and helped our first time Sailfish fishermen catch and release four fish. The action was continuous with one hook-up after the next.
Thank you so much for making this day of our Mazatlan vacation so successful.
Please thank the "Betsy" Captain and crew for a fabulous day.
A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!

Dear Eduardo
We just wanted to send you a note expressing our thanks for three wonderful days of fishing on the Escualo Fleet August 2009. There is no question that this year far surpassed last year... three days of fishing really makes a difference Despite the long return trip home, we managed to keep all of our catch frozen and filled half of the freezer with nearly 100 pounds of fillets. Friday was especially exciting seeing all of the schooling Dorados aroud the bouys off shore Mazatlan, the Captain of the 34 foot Black Marlin Juan Osuna and his mate Jose were really fun and worked extra hard to see that we caught Dorados. Please give our thanks to the kind Captain Juan who recommended going to the buys to get Dorados. Monday and Wednesday were also great fishing on Escualo V captain Lalo he did a fantastic job allowing us to catch 40 Red Snapper, Groupers, and a lot of triggerfish. Please give Carmina many thanks for all of her assistance... We really did not want to leave ... Steve and myself would have liked to fish several more days. Hopefully, we can return again next year for more excitement.
Many fond regards and thanks to all for a fantastic trip

To Escualo Fleet Sportfishing
My father and I have been sport fishing for many years together, and have rarely come across such a professional and courteous captain Gerardo Montoya (Lalo) on board the 26 foot Super Panga Escualo V.
We had the privilege to fish with him on Sunday July 12, 2009 and a slow day of fishing turned out to be an exciting one indeed. We landed a nice Red Snapper of over 20 pounds and safely released him to fight another day. Before that, we boated a grouper of 20+ pounds which served our family a delicious dinner back at our hotel. Lalo was very grateful that we gave him the other half for his own family.
The boat was clean, the captain was very gracious, and the fishing Gods smiled upon us. We will be back to Mazatlan very soon and will be calling on the Escualo Sportfising team!
Many thanks to all for making this trip a memorable one.
Best regards,
Paul Smith New Jersey
To Eduardo Escualo Fleet manager:
your entire company is fantastic. My wife and I were in Mazatlan for the first time in ’07 and not knowing any better, we arranged a charter through a timeshare presentation at Costa de Oro hotel. No one caught anything, my wife spent the entire day seasick, and the boat had to be towed in at the end of the day. I can’t remember the name of the company, but it definitely was not Escualo. In ’08, I arranged for a share ahead of time and chose Escualo. I didn’t catch anything, but the experience couldn’t have been more different from the previous year’s trip. Everyone I dealt with at Escualo was professional, friendly, and very helpful. It made choosing a charter company a no-brainer for future fishing. The ’09 trip was just as good, with fishing results better – I caught two Striped Marlin, while the boat’s total was one Dorado two striped Marlin and five or six Yellowfin Tunas. I hope I’ll be able to make it down again in ’09 (if not, it’ll definitely be in ’10). I love to get the fishing updates that you send out! It definitely makes want to start planning my next trip.
Thanks. sincerely your friend

Wanted to thank the Escualo Fleet staff and the crew of the White Marlin for the wonderful fishing trip on June 20 th 2009.
My guests and I were inexperienced fishermen, but Captain Manuel and his mate were very friendly and helpful. They guided my brother, Brian through the first Sailfish 8 foot and by the end of the day, we successfully reeled in (and released) 5 of the sailfish we hooked, including having three sailfish on three lines simultaneously.
We chose Escualo from a small list provided by Club top anglers and I was not disappointed. The professionalism of everyone involved and the well maintained boat and equipment made for an enjoyable day. I highly recommend Escualo Fleet and specifically Captain Manuel and the White Marlin to all.

Dear Carmina
Just a short note to thank you for a great year 2009 with the Escualo fleet my second year fishing with you. In June I caught my first Blue Marlin on 34 foot Striped Marlin cruiser and it is a day that I will remember for the rest of my life. Captain Arturo and Jose were great and they did a masterful job with the 400 pound Blue Marlin. I wish I could come up with the words to accurately describe the thrill of seeing that marlin jumping in the bright Mazatlan sunshine. I didn't think that you could top that day in June, but on August 10th, my 70 year-old father and I also had an epic day, this time aboard Striped Marlin. We started out catching and releasing approximately 10 Dorado (in the 8- 10 pound class) before 8:00 a.m. At noon I hooked, brought to leader, and successfully released an estimated 500 pound Blue Marlin, we released our trophy but ordered a replica mount." Unbelievable! Later that day, Arturo (captain) and Jose put us on a school of porpoise that was accompanied by a significant quantity of Yellowfin tuna. My dad and I caught about a half a dozen tuna (my dad's first tuna) to finish off the best day of fishing we've ever shared.
As usual, I can't say enough good things about the Escualo Fleet. The crews work hard, are knowledgeable, amiable and willing to teach those who want to learn more about saltwater sport fishing. Your guys are professionals, pure and simple. The staff is helpful and friendly. When I talk to the other fishermans, I meet a lot of people who have been fishing with you for 10 years. I hear one phrase repeatedly from your long time clients in description of the Escualo Fleet - "class operation." I couldn't agree more. Thank you Carmina for a great year 2009 and I'll see you in 2010.

Dear Eduardo
My wife and I would like to thank you for an experience of a lifetime aboard the Blue Marlin on May 28 2009, Alejandro and Carlos skillfully found us the fish that we were after, and made the trip amazing. We each caught our first stailfish, along with a nice yellowfin tuna. It was a wonderful fishing experience in Mazatlan. We shared a dream come true for me, and now my wife is "hooked" on fishing too! I will recommend the Escualo Fleet to all of my friends and family, as well as to anyone else who may read this. Thanks again for everything. I will see you again next year.

Dear Carmina and Eduardo.
My most sincere thanks for a providing me the opportunity to experience a "Fishing Trip of a Lifetime" on May 24 2009. The 2 Sailfish & 55 lb Bull dorado and 5 Yellowfin Tunas, catch was a day most fishermen dream of and never realize. The skillfull captain of the Escualo V 26 feet Super Panga Lalo was excellent not only in their fishing knowledge but also his friendly attitude. I can only say if your going to fish Mazatlan fish with the professionals of Escualo Fleet.

Dear Eduardo:
The highlight of our wonderful time in Mazatlan April on 07 09 was the day sportfishing with Ricardo Somoza and his deckhand Gaby. Please send our greetings to them and our thanks again for allowing us to catch Marlin. They were so professional and cheerful and their conscientious work was demonstrated in how clean and well maintained was the 36 foot Betsy and how tenaciously they hunted Marlin for so many hours.
We are enthusiastically touting your sportfishing firm to anyone who asks about Marlin fishing in Mazatlan.
Wish we were still there for another week.

Dear Carmina
I just wanted to drop you a line and thank you and all the people at Escualo Fleet Sportfishing for a wonderful fishing trip in Mazatlan on 16 April 2009. This was my first time there and and first time sportfishing. We had an unbelievable day landing two sailfish and 4 Dorados I rented the 34 foot cruiser Black Marlin. Our captain Juanito and mate Jose were very courteous and knowledgeable. They were first class all the way. We had many charters to choose from, but ultimately decided to go with Escualo. I can tell you without hesitation that we made the right decision. Once again thanks and I will definitely see you guys next year.

Eduardo & Carmina,
"Thank you so much for your kind hospitality you showed to my family and myself during our week stay at Mazatlan on March 09 2009. We had a great time fishing with your fleet. We fished for three days with Arturo captain of the 34 ft. Striped Marlin My 13 year old son Arnold made it a goal to catch a Marlin. In three days we hooked and released 6 Striped Marlin each weighing over 130 lbs and 2 bull Dorado each weighing between 45-50 lbs. We can not express enough our gratitude to your fleet in the professionalism that was shown. Keep up the good work and I hope to send a lot of people down to see your wonderful fleet."

Dear Carmina
"I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know what a great operation you have going on. I have fished at least with ten different boats/operators in Mazatlan area before trying Escualo Fleet. That won't be the case any longer. Your staff reflects a tremendous amount of pride in their equipment and fishing skills. The crew of The 36 foot Betsy worked very hard for us. Thanks for a great trip. We will be back next year and will see you then."

Hello Escualo Fleet,
We just got back from a wonderful trip to Mazatlan and I wanted to thank you all for an amazing experience through chartering a boat with your company. I was a member of the Steve Mitchell party that went bottom fishing with you on March 22th 09. I must tell you that Captain David for Escualo I 26 foot Super Panga, gave us a day we will never forget. We Caught 47 Red Snapper betwen 2 to 8 lb and alot of Triggerfish and permit, and I was lucky enough to catch and release my first Roosterfish, thanks to their expertise. Everything about our day was first class, from the people in your office, to the boat, crew, tackle, lunch and drinks. Also the certificate that you provided was a great souvenir of a memorable time. Hopefully, one of many more. We most certainly would like to come back again and enjoy you hospitality. Once again, thanks for an amazing adventure.
Rodney Cummins.
"Thanks to Escualo Fleet for promoting catch and release all these years! We have enjoyed the fishing in Mazatlan for over 10 years and compliment your efforts toward preserving it."

"Dear Eduardo, I just wanted to let you know that I am really grateful for the experience my son and I had while fishing with Captain Pastor on the Escualo II, February 18th 2009. We each caught a Marlin and how often does a father and son of nine get to experience that in a life time? On Friday 20th he and I went out for a bottom fishing trip 6 hours and caught two Red Snappers, 20 lbs each and a lot of Triggerfish and many other varieties of fish. Really some wonderful memories."

"Dear Eduardo, For the second year running I fished with Escualo Fleet. This time I went out on White Marlin from February 06 thru 08 2009. Unfortunately I was unable to thank you personally for what I considered the fishing trip of a lifetime, this culminating first with the 400 lbs, Blue marlin 50 lbs test I also had my first Wahoo, this along with numerous Dorados, 4 Striped marlin and some YellowFin Tuna certainly made it memorable. I would especially like to thank the Captain Manuel and his mate Gaby for the skill, kindness and humour which made everything so enjoyable. Please also thank Carmina in the office for her expert organization and friendliness."
